It's a little more complicated than that. As a contractor, you are not entitled to holidays, sick leave, etc (unless specified in contract). Also, it is easier to get rid of a contractor than a full time employee You should be getting paid considerably more as a contractor than a full time employee due to these types of issues. You still have to pay tax on what you earn, albeit less than you might as an employee as you can claim expenses, etc to offset tax bill. I HIGHLY recommend you speak to an accountant or other professional who will detail the ins and outs. If you want to have a full time job, and are happy with that set-up, I would probably recommend that you stay that way, but it is up to you. Definitely seek professional advice. Cheers Dave T
