This is I believe one of the strength of Symfony.

They will decouple the Javascript component too. In the meantime,
there's already a JQuery plugin for it:

Want to use Smarty for template? No problem too.

Symfony will just be there to knit all those libraries together in a
MVC OO framework, instead of reinventing the those things :)
