Here are some suggestions. - Forget about the features / framework comparisons. They are relevant up to a point, but it sounds like you need a better way to find what fits.
- Look at some old code you wrote, either procedurally or handrolled OO style, or using a framework. Think about the things you were most happy with, and the parts that you thought, 'hey, this is cool'. - Now, look at example code for complete apps using the frameworks, and see if you can see anything that stands out as making more sense or feeling more comfortable to your particular way of doing things. It's more about finding an environment that works for you and your particular coding habits, than about which framework is best. Sometimes the only way to figure it out is to build a site in something, and find the areas where it annoys you, so from that perspective there is nothing wrong with putting effort in to something that you decide not to use in future, because it helps you understand web development better. I generally find people who have used multiple frameworks and languages are better coders with their preferred framework, than people who only use their preferred framework. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ NZ PHP Users Group: http://groups.google.com/group/nzphpug To post, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe, send email to [email protected] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
