Can you access phpmyadmin code, if it is working, you could check the config.inc.php file to see that information.

Client has added mysql database to existing hosting package, tryingt o connect to mysql from website (drupal). Orcon cannot supply mysql hostname. Have tried localhost and hostingdatabases.orcon.net.nz (phpmyadmin uses that hostname). Can get into phpmyadmin, database exists, username/password is working, but can't get drupal to connect to database.... Orcon "helpdesk" not very helpful, 3 calls later, no answer.
