Take a look at this, something might help -
http://www.slideshare.net/guest5a7126/php-cloud-and-microsoft-symfony-live-2010-3224585
We NEVER use the PEAR version of Symfony, purely because we have many
different versions of symfony running on our various projects. I believe
that in the Jobeet tutorial it might talk about using a local verison of
symfony. Otherwise download the Sandbox and use that as a starting point.

Hi all,
I'm starting a new project that is not too extreme, and was hoping to use
it as a hands on exposure to Symfony.
Trouble is, this will be running on IIS and SQL Server.
For now, I am trying to put a local machine dev environment together and
I'm not having much luck finding how-to's. Symfony's official one assumes
PEAR is installed, which is something that I also can find little
information on doing.
Do any of you Symfony people know of an article or forum post to this end?
