Hey Pete, Theres actually a UK silverstripe meetup (http://www.meetup.com/ SilverStripeUK/) which might be of help too. I've done a lot of Silverstripe development before, as have a few other people on this mailing list.
Its a much newer CMS than Drupal and the like, so you're right that the docs and community aren't as great yet. However I've found it much easier to develop with than Drupal.. though you do need to be comfortable with object oriented coding :) Once you get past the basics I've often found the best way to finding things in silverstripe has been to read the core code... but that might just be me :) However, the IRC channel and the forums are pretty good if you need some pointers. And lurking on the mailing list helps too :) Robbie On Jun 4, 10:53 pm, Pete Graham <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, I've just joined this group as it was recommend to me by one of > the developers on the PHP-London mailing list. > > I was wondering what experience people had using the Silverstripe CMS > (http://www.silverstripe.com/)?As I may be taking over a website > that's been built with it. > > I've been looking into it and so far have found some of the > documentation a bit lacking.
