Thanks for the recommendations Gordon, Todd, and Rimu.
Woosh sounds great and so does XT.
Unfortunately Woosh is unavailable in my area so I may try out telecom
on a 30 day risk free plan for mobile which will also provide me with
a general idea of their 3g stick performance in my area.
It is a shame 2degrees' reception appears iffy in my area, might have
to buy a cheap sim and see how it goes.
