Warwick - As a Drupal practitioner of more than five years I can assure you that version 6 should easily meet your needs. Appropos V7, there is a fairly straightforward upgrade path from 6 when you feel the time is right. I have not found my work disadvantaged by remaining with V6 for the time being and we have deployed over 30 Drupal installations. The long and the short of it is - go for it!

Hi Paul and Lenz

Thanks very much for that Paul. Hunting around a bit, I note that
Drupal seems to have not long rolled out v7. That leads me to guess
that most of the good modules are still stuck in v6. A bit of a search
seems to confirm that. Is it sensible to fire up 6 instead of 7? Are
there big disadvantages?

Thanks again. This is really helping me get a solid initial direction
for the project.

Lenz, thanks very much for that, the client might be a little bit away
from facebook status at this point, but he is keen to promote it, and
has the wherewithall, so I'll keep your post in the back of my mind
for future reference. I still want to make the switch to your registry
incidentally too, just been derailed a few times in getting there
sorry :-) Let's chat about that.

Much obliged.
Warwick
