I've got a client that would like to do something called a "tele
seminar". I'm unfamiliar with the term but apparently what happens is
you advertise your seminar for a certain date and time and people
visit your website at the appointed time and they can listen to you
talk about your subject. They can also type questions to you and the
whole thing can be recorded and made available for later playback by
people that couldn't listen to the seminar live. This is audio only,
not video.

Apparently there are websites in America that will do all this for you
and even let people phone in over a normal phone line (no computer
needed) to participate. One example is http://www.instantteleseminar.com

My client doesn't need the phone in facility, everything over the
internet is fine.

Can anyone suggest any software that can do this (maybe open source)?
I'm guessing you would need a grunty web host to run this on if you've
got a couple of hundred people listening in! Or if you've got
experience doing this via a third-party website then I'd be interested
in your views on them.

Thanks!
