Which by the way struck me as very odd - have they not heard of this new thing called DNS and the wonderful things it can do like convert a domain name to an IP address? Even if SSL certs were an issue they could have migrated the old SSL cert to the new machine. Mind you, there's nothing like a required change to your payment systems to blow the cobwebs out.
