Hi there Glenn,
I have a PHP classic primer, Mastering PHP 4.1 by Allen & Hornberger
which is as good a place as any to start. Covers all the elementary
stuff plus some real world coding examples.700pp.
Also available PHP5 Power Programming by Gutmans, Bakken and Rethans
which brings you up to speed on version 5 of the language plus a fine
set of real world examples. Two volumes, about 650pp.
Let me know off list if you are interested in any of these.
Cheers all,
Trevor
