If you have to push data from NZ, the cost might be high. If you are
on EC2 or overseas, it's very cost effective, depending on your backup
scheme obviously.

Amazon also offers a glacier option: so you can transfer data from S3
to tape (I suppose?): it takes to retrieve it if you need it, but
storage costs are very very low.
