I'm (mostly) offline today but wanted to alert the team that I entered a blocker for OAE 1.4.0 yesterday:
https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SOLR-79 This involves a (very cool) solution to a pending scalability issue we've had hanging over our heads since the SparseMapContent shake-up, but currently it only works if you're running OAE with embedded Solr, which is NOT recommended for production, QA, or performance-testing environments. When deployed against an existing separate Solr server, it kills OAE dead. I've recommended that the change be temporarily reverted ASAP so that the release can proceed, and then rescheduled for 1.5. I'm confident it can get in then, since tailoring the separate-Solr-server environment fits nicely into work that's been done on our CalCentral project and that's progressing on my SOLR-75 branch.
