The timeout for this tests is 600 seconds (various time in sequence). So this seems to indicate that on this instance the observation events might well come in very slowly as non of the test timeouts timed out but still the test took so long that it hit the buildbot timout.
So far this is still the only instance where these various observation related failures occur.
