I committed an improved version of the {{SecureNodeBuilder}} patch in
http://svn.apache.org/r1489852. There's still a few issues to fix (marked with
TODOs and FIXMEs), but overall I think it's an improvement over the explicit
rebase mechanism. In a way the SecureNodeBuilder can be thought of as
implementing an "incremental rebase" in that it rebases each individual
modification separately to the underlying raw builder.
