Amit Jain updated OAK-1157:
---------------------------
Attachment: OAK-1157.patch
Patch uploaded to support Jackrabbit DataStores and Amazon S3.
Jackrabbit DataStore support enables:
1. Backwards compatibility for supporting existing DataStores without the need
for expensive migration.
2. Enabling support for direct link access to binaries from S3.
3. Potentially supporting binaries uploaded externally.
In addition an implementation of AbstractBlobStore is provided which uses
jclouds for supporting blobs on cloud (including Amazon S3).
The patch has also been uploaded to a git sandbox repository here - [OAK-1157
Changes|https://github.com/amit-jain/jackrabbit-oak/commit/5d93caf10d8a0b03c94039864c5b2fdd10c6d4c2].
Patch depends upon changes done for
[JCR-3705|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-3705] .

> I think we need a DS implementation for the lately introduced S3 DS in
> Jackrabbit 2, so that users of that DS can easily migrate to Oak
> I think it would anyway be a very useful DS implementation to have, also for
> Oak
