I fixed the ReferenceEditor issue with rev http://svn.apache.org/r1572477
It was indeed an issue with the _discardedIds_ set, I think the issue came from
the fact that you had the same uuid involved in a normal reference removal but
also something related to the version store, and the code couldn't cope with
that.
I'll also apply the original patch shortly.
