[~ajain] can you please describe the methodology. few quick points:
# Datastore should be made shareable at Datastore level. Backend should not be
concerned about it. This way you need not to have shared backend for every
backend implementation.
# Patch is too S3 centric. what about shared fds.
# used a *separate* shared bucket to maintain states of DS. IMO, the shared
storage ( either shared filesystem or s3 bucket) can be used to maintain bucket
states.
