[~lbyrum] the current approach in place: OAK-2220 should perfectly work on a
single node. All our ITs and UTs are confirming it. If there are any problems
please file a bug on how to reproduce it.
You should not care about UUIDs and sort of. you should rely on the JCR API for
dealing with counters:

What did you mean with "UUID naming convention"?
