[~mreutegg], I was looking into this and I think the cache should be kept in 
DocumentNodeStore (because, I think DocumentStore implementations aren't aware 
of 'type' of doc). But, then previous documents are pulled in from NodeDocument 
which doesn't have access to DocumentNodeStore. Would you suggest which way 
should I go with?
