It seems the {{LoginModuleImpl}} clears its state in the case of an {{abort}}
(via the {{AbstractLoginModule}} or a successful {{commit}} that is coming from
another module.
A minor improvement here is that the login module doesn't need to hold on to
the local state until logout (when the module is discarded), if the login went
through on this module, so can clear state early on this execution branch as
well.
