Thanks, it clarified a lot my misunderstandings; so, first of all, the
response format is in the way I understood, and then, even if there's
only one existing protocol version - at least, until now - the version
number has to be replied.

Excellent! Because of the lack of examples in the wiki page - and I'm
not a native English speaker :P - I was in trouble about this, so many
thanks!
