Section 8 states: > Registration requests that are undetermined for a period longer than 21 days can be brought to the IESG's attention (using the [email protected] mailing list) for resolution. Maybe it is me not being a native speaker, but it is not clear to me what is requested of the IESG. If the goal is to add a "IESG Approval" (see https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc8126#section-4.10 ), then it should be stated clearly, and by the way I do not think that is a good idea. If it is escalation, then IANA already has procedures in place for that, and I don't think this text adds anything to that.
