Hi niyuan, Thank you for your suggestion and the issue #29 you raised on Github. we will review the existing individual draft regarding the authorization of the agent, and for those drafts with the same issues, we will consider reference them in the use case draft.
Welcome more people to review the 03 version, this will be very helpful in clarifying the issue of agent authorization. I have one suggestion regarding the new -03 version. Since several ongoing individual drafts in OAuth are exploring mechanisms related to the use cases and gaps identified in this document, would it be useful to reference some of them in the corresponding sections? I think this could help readers connect the use cases and problem statements in this draft with related ongoing work. I opened an issue with a few examples here: https://github.com/Maisy-ML/Agent-Authorization-Use-Cases/issues/29 Best regards,Yuan 发件人: Meiling Chen <[email protected]> 发送时间: 2026年8月25日 17:28 收件人: oauth <[email protected]> 主题: [OAUTH-WG] Fw: New Version Notification for draft-chen-oauth-agent-authz-use-cases-03.txt Hi all,We have published version -03 of the "Agent Authorization use cases and gap analysis" draft (draft-chen-oauth-agent-authz-use-cases).This new version addresses 9 open issues from the tracker. It categorizes them into distinct scenarios, details their specific authorization requirements, and performs a comprehensive gap analysis against the existing OAuth 2.0 framework[RFC6749] and its common extensions. The analysis identifies fundamental gaps and requirements, providing a foundation for future work on new extensions within the OAuth Working Group toward creating a more secure and interoperable ecosystem for agent- based systems.
