Sorry Norman and others. This was poorly written. Let me try again:

The riding behaviour described by the caller wasn't responsible
*behaviour*

I also meant to be clear in my original message that if the behaviour
reported by the caller was not confirmed as that of an OBC tour group
(also as reported by the caller) then I would not raise the issue here.

Clear enough? Fair enough?

In any case, I have decided not to have further discussion on this topic
here because club officials by their statements do not think that club
members should be aware of and have any input to how sunday tours operate,
or issues related to them, in an open forum such as this.

The list charter was recently provided by the president: "an electronic
forum describing activities of the Ottawa Bicycle Club and its members,"
for "ride reports, stories..." and "club administration and information".

Some people on this list have expressed that they do not wish to see
discussion on this group pertaining to "political" (advocacy) aspects of
cycling and the club. I will respect that and therefore not discuss here
why I did not and will not communicate with OBC board members directly
about this or any other issue, and why I raised the issue here in the
first place: a documented and verifiable record of censorship and the
supression of the exchange of ideas and issues.

If you care about how the club is being run and want to know more about
what has been going on behind the scenes (and very much in front) of the
club for the last 1 1/4 years, please email me directly and I will share
my observations, rather than post them in this public forum or inflict
them on those of you who don't care.

Don't bother writing to me here please. I'm signing off after this
message. Communicate with me directly by email. DON'T bother sending
hostile and vitriolic messages. These are not welcomed or solicited. A
complaint will be sent to your internet provider.

In the future, if you wish to receive news about cycling education and
promotion, advocacy for cyclists rights and responsibilities, and news
about the urban cycling environment, please send a message to

in the body of the message to join the list

Thanks.
