WANTED: DISTRIBUTION COORDINATOR FOR BETTER BICYCLING Citizens for Safe Cycling is looking for an experienced, outgoing volunteer to coordinate the distribution of 15,000 copies of Better Bicycling, starting Friday, April 27. This individual will: -have good organizational abilities and experience with distribution -be comfortable working with volunteers -have a good knowledge of Ottawa -have the ability to work independently Responsibilities will include: -communicating with volunteers via phone and e-mail -organizing volunteers to quickly and effectively distribute the newspaper to local shops and services such as bike stores, libraries, coffee shops, community centres and other high traffic areas where cyclists and would-be cyclists can easily obtain the information. -working with volunteers to expand the existing volunteer and distribution lists to ensure all areas of the *new* city of Ottawa are adequately covered. -tracking distribution locations and numbers, and updating the existing list to incorporate new distributors. Due to the commitment involved and time-sensitive responsibilities of this position, CfSC is offering an honorarium to the individual who takes on this task.
