I used to do this climb from 89 to about 93.  I think its about 12 Km
long, average grade is 13-14% with a short 22% slope at the very top.
 A 1 hour time is very good.  Half the road is paved the other half is
hard packed dirt/sand.  We used to put mountain bike drive trains on
our road bikes so that the smallest gear would have a 1:1 ratio.  I may
have used something like a 28 (front), 26 (rear) for most of the ride.
 It usually took a fair bit of fiddling to get the gears working properly.
 

One needs to organize a car ride down from the mountain.  Be prepared
for any kind of weather - especially wind at the summit.
