I do have all the relevant newsletters, stored in a safe place, with the
records indexed. There is an error in one of the early year's summaries,
that was corrected later that year, but the error was repeated again the
next year, and not corrected. As Avery noted, there was a change in the
age groupings 5+ years ago, and this has never been addressed in how the
records are carried forward. It seems a little unfair that a record held
by, say, a 40-year old, as the youngest in the then age grouping, could be
taken later by a 35-year old. On the other hand there are some records
that probably have not been yet been beaten under the new age categories -
and if I were one of these record-holders (!) I would certainly want it
carried forward.
Once Rideau Lakes is out of the way I will sort this information out, but
I'll leave it to others to decide how it should be translated to the new age
groupings.
