Good tour all around, make sure that the kudo's get to the XM-49er's for
their excellent work. I do not know what tour route this person is talking
about 20% being of the female persuasion but I would guesstimate it more to
be along the lines of 40 to 50 %. As someone who saw a lot of the riders,
on the two major routes I would guess that the Challenge route would have a
very low participation (something about testosterone/hills), and the cruise
because the mechanics/sags were not there, which is the same reason I would
only ride the Classic. Two years ago coming back from Kingston I had a
camel back on a hot Sunday and filled it 3 times (North Crosby, Perth &
Ashton) so that year I carried water instead of money (but never again,
rookie mistake). Speaking of young un's, there was a father who brought
a 12 year old girl on the ride and let her ride it independently, the
co-sagger with me made us keep an eye on her, since she dropped her
friends (17 & 15 and an adult) constantly, so she was always out of there
sight. She absolutely had no idea of riding in traffic evidenced by things
I saw her do ( and did right after I told her what and why what she did
could get her killed). I would like to suggest that the RLCT not encourage
non-traffic aware children to ride. Unless they have had group riding
clinics or can-bike lessons.

PS Does any one know if the recumbent did the whole Classic or just the
Perth part?
