Wow! What a couple of statements! I have known a few people (myself
included) who have had the dubious pleasure of experiencing the dreaded
high-speed wobble and none of them were riding "no-hands".
I was terrified at the time, trying to get the bike under control while
descending North Jay Peak in Vt. Later heard that another club member
had worse luck than I on another hill on a different type of bike.
Thereafter, that bike of mine always started into a shimmy at high speed
descents (I was aware of the critical velocity) and wasn't too sad when it
was stolen. (Always hoped the thief had o good downhill ride somewhere
and
ended up in boonyland).

Hope you are well on the road to recovery Gary!
