I think some people got thier back up when Alayne McGregor (President of the
CFSC) made the following statement in an e-mail
" The Ottawa Bicycle Club will be holding its annual general meeting
next Wednesday (Oct. 24) at Ottawa City Hall (Festival Control Room,
first floor near Laurier Ave. entrance), at 7 p.m.
Those CfSC members who want to encourage cooperation between cycling
organizations and learn what the OBC has been up to this year may want
to attend."
I know that I found it rather odd that any group would invite its members to
attend a second groups AGM without I belive asking the OBC board if they
could attend. (If I am wrong on this I am sorry). Finding out what the
OBC is up to is very easy by reading the Spokesperson or attending socials
etc. But at an AGM? Hummm. Just sounds strange to me. But then I am a
strange person.
