Dennis Thompson from Fresh Air Experience will have some of his world
class collection of antique bicycles/goodies on hand to start
conversation at the cocktail hour.
Olympic rowing medalist, Arctic Adventurer and journalist Alison Korn
will be our guest speaker.
Live music , with "NAVY BLUE" will crank up and carry the hardier
partiers through into the night. I know most of the crowd head for
bed a
little earlier than others but there has always been a core of those
who
stay to remember the stupider parts of the evening.
The focus each year remains on the builders and supporters of the sport.
The idea is to buy dinner for those who help make the sport happen.
The
are no winners if there are no races and events to ride in.
Tickets are out at the shops and are $35 dollars.
Last year over 200 came for Camp Fortune's famous buffet which
will
again include both the roast beast and a vegetarian main dish, along
with the veggies and salads, desserts etc.
Should be fun.
The no lycra rule remains in effect - semi formal please.
Raffle prizes as good as ever.

"FIRST ANNUAL PARLIAMENT HILL CLIMB" .
THIS WILL BE A SHORT HILL CLIMB RUN BEHIND THE PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS.
THE MAIN EVENT WILL BE A BIT OF A TRACTOR PULL. WE HAVE A TRAILER TO
HOOK UP TO ANY BIKE. THAT TRAILER IS LOADED UP WITH A GUY NAMED NORM.
YOU HAVE TO PULL NORM UP THE HILL.
ANY PARENT WITH A TRAILER KNOWS THE WORK INVOLVED.
PRIZES AND FUN.
REGISTRATION AT 9:00 AM AND START AT 10 AM.
