Apologies to those who were bored.

Ya know, it's funny. The recommended "end" of debates often on the list
are "oh, go ride your bike". That gives a good feeling, but it's walking
away, figuratively and almost literally. Most of the time, I like it.

We all have the choice not to participate. Clearly, I've revealed myself
lately to be aggressive on the broad issue of "activity group or
Advocacy/lobby/activist group", if it can be framed as such.

To me, riding my bike doesn't make this issue just go away, in the big
picture of long term enjoyment of "riding my bike" WITHIN the OBC. I
wouldn't want Celia to feel like she has to leave someday, if militant
agendas build within the OBC, through whatever means. Same for me. It
ain't "petty pickering" since, if left unopposed, such proposals are
adopted. I do have faith in the board (and all the bored?) that they
have heard and understand my opinion. I note carefully here that
"understanding" my opinion does not at all imply that they "agree with"
my opinion.

Thanks for the link, Ron. That's a great summary page. I done pretty
good, 'cept for my last paragraphs. No retractions, though.
