Apparently, Gord Fraser's fame has spread to even the tri-geeks out
there...

There was an article written on www.slowtwitch.com, a triathlon-oriented
website, about riding with Gord Fraser on a tandem at the Tour de
Tuscon, written from the stoker's perspective of course. Due to
language used that some might find offensive, I won't reproduce the
article on the email list, but I'll provide the link for those who are
interested:

While I've only tandem-biked myself on a mountain bike tandem, I can
sort of relate to the stoker's trials and tribulations. But personally,
I prefer taking the back seat, especially on climbs.

Captain: huff... puff... c'mon, put some juice into it back there!
Me: (watching a butterfly sail by) okie dokie, you're the boss...
Captain: hnnuuuggh... dangit, this hill is too long!
Me: (sees a bevy of female cyclists passing the tandem) not long
enough...
