Hello all: I attended the monthly OBC social last evening hosted, in Rick Moll's absence, by Director at Large Jocelyne Beauchamp. I was quite disappointed at the measly turnout, only about a dozen of us. Of those, only two did a token skate on the canal. Dispite the small number of members present, we enjoyed a pleasant evening of interesting conversation and some very tasty clam chowder. So where were the rest of you? o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o Well, my plug for more females seemed to work last Sunday as a third of the 18 particpants were women. Most of our group were classic skiing but we had 2 skaters and 1 combie skier who couldn't quite decide what to do! Several new faces showed up to see what we were about bringing the average age down a few notches! It was one of those "tricky to wax" days, but, lucky for us, we didn't get caught in the rain! o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o There will be NO organized ski for Sunday, Feb 17 due to the Keskinada World Loppet. Give your support by participating, volunteering or cheering on the skiers along the course. The trails are not closed to the public, but if you're skiing recreationally, please watch out for the racers. Everyone is welcome to attend the ski show and sale in the gymnasium of the College de o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o o^o Good luck to all the Keskinada participants who will be "off and skiing" on Sat., Feb. 16 (25&50 KM classic)& Sun., Feb 17 (25&50 Km free style).
