For Sale: '94 Marinoni Special Frame and Fork 58 cm (c-c) seat tube, 57 cm (c-c) top tube. Constructed of Columbus SP tubing, and Campagnolo dropouts (horizontal in the rear). Frame weighs 2150 gm, and the fork weighs 778 gm. 27.2 mm seatpost diameter, Italian threaded BB. Braze-ons include two sets of WB bosses, downtube shifter bosses, three top tube cable guides, pump peg on the back of the headtube, and seatstay chain hanger. Metallic black main triangle with full chrome stay and fork. Gold outline Marinoni decals.
Paint and decals are in great shape, but the chrome is poor with areas of flaking and lots of pits that have been ground and touched up with a bit of silver Tremclad to try and keep them from rusting further. Pitting is cosmetic only and the frame is sound structurally, straight, and no dings in any of the tubes. This would make a great poor weather frame for a larger/heavier rider. Fork is also Columbus, with a semi sloping crown, with large a M in a circle on the tops of each crown. Curved blades. Fork is threaded and cut with 37 mm for the headset stack height.
