Tune's Power-Tap hub is discontinued. See the article on page 2 in 
http://www.crca.net/newsletters/january2001.pdf

A GPS, especially the waterproof Garmin Etrex Summit or Vista, could 
give you speed, altitude, and altitude gain rate, and you could 
download the tracks/routes for analysis later. Not to mention staying 
unlost!
