Bill, Unfortunatly my retro rocket does not have a computer or more than 10 gears total and it's only redeeming quality is it's comfort. Not sure what the average was but it would probably be comparable to the sportif class at OBC. Aaron said it was probably faster than normal today since two of the strongest guys in Ottawa were there pulling. A few times we droped some of the riders but we would wait up to regroup. We stoped at the general store in Merrickville for water and fuel then came back to Barrhaven non-stop.
The slower riders who did not have many miles in their legs turned around at the 30K stop to do 60K total, apparently there is also a 80K turnaround point. Most of the ride I was using my 52x18,16, and 14 with the tail wind It was kind of funny, I had been trading email with Aaron Fillon and on the ride home to Crystal Beach I find out he lives just around the corner from me.....
