That is great report Eric, now you are ready for the Animalathon this Sunday. I also had my longest ride of the year on Sat/Sun for 619 km ( from house and back ) as part of the Randonneur brevet series. The ride was very good, approx. 24 hours on the bike and total time 31 hours. The only difficult section was from ~360km to 410 km and 410 km to ~460 km cycling in the fog / mist Saturday from 10 pm to 12:15 am and 1:45 am to 4:00 am, good thing that the traffic was lighter. Eric, I am glad you made it back before the rain. I was inside during swimming lessons for Alexandra and was concerned about cyclists being caught in the rain storm. Also, I sent Mike Lau a text message to his cell phone so that his crew can give encouragement from the OBC and Randonneurs. Michael Lau's crew will read this message and have it amplified with the external speaker from the van as he is cycling through Oklahoma today. It still amazes me how Michael Lau can cycle almost 2100 miles and climb 80,000 feet in 8 days and I feel tired after only less than 400 miles and 12,000 feet ( estimate )of climbing.
