Club events are organized for the benefit of club members. The reason for allowing non-members to take part in our events is primarily to introduce them to the club as prospective members. After participating two or three times, prospective members should know whether they want to join the club or not. This year's affiliation agreement with the Ontario Cycling Association does not allow non-members to participate in more than three club events. We have been reminding non-members of this rule at regular events, particularly the Open Time Trials where quite a few non-members show up. A number of non-members have now participated in three time trial events. In order to take part in any other club event, TT or otherwise, they must now become club members. The individual membership fee is $43.00.
This is a reminder that the three events rule will be enforced at Thursday's time trials.
