Thanks everyone for your helpful suggestions. I tried the backpack idea (humongeous pack for world traveling), the center of gravity was too high for teen-ager. So went in basement, shook dust off of Burley D'Lite (after Alayne suggested it doh!). Tried to get SO to let me buy BOB Yak, but she would'nt bite after she saw Burley :-). So had the maiden voyage for Sax carrying today, not one of the kids at school laughed. Maybe they are all noticing some one (one of their peers) doing something to keep the car lanes clear for themselves. Thanks every one for all your help.
