Call for entries: X_Science: Cinema between Science and Science fiction>> deadline 15/02/2009
The Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences Faculty of the University of Genoa and GENOVA FILM FESTIVAL are organizing the 4th Edition of X_Science: Cinema between Science and Science fiction, that will be in Genoa (Italy) in March 2009 One session of the Festival will be dedicated to an international competition for theme Short Films. X_Science is committed to screening short films in all genres (fiction, animation, experimental and documentary). All usual film and video format are admitted to the competition. The running time of short films should not exceed 30 minutes and should focus on any facet of Science and/or Science Fiction. Shorts not using Italian or English must be subtitled in one of those languages. X_SCIENCE AWARD will consist of 1500 Euro.
