Al. Șciusev 103, Chișinău Ideea expoziției Loc(uri) ca acasă adună lucrări artistice produse în perioada unor rezidențe artistice sau în cadrul unor burse de studiu în Moldova și în alte țări. Chiar dacă aceste lucrări nu au fost parte a programului de rezidențe, artiștii le consideră un fel de ”produse secundare” ce arată impresiile, reflecțiile și comentariile lor asupra noului context și prin intermediul cărora ei au încercat să construiască legături într-un mediu nou și în cadrul unei culturi noi. Unele lucrări compun o colecție de observații, experiențe personale și teorii construite care pot fi privite ca un jurnal personal al artistului. Aceste colecții pot servi drept documente ale întîlnirii cu țara străina, locuri necunoscute dar și cu oameni cu contexte culturale și sociale diferite, cu memoriile și istoriile lor personale. Pe de altă parte, cu timpul aceste metode pot deveni acțiuni și instrumente repetitive care pot servi drept instrumente pentru artist să descopere societatea și mediul necunoscut. Ca punct de pornire am luat conceptul ”artistul ca nomad” iar scopul nostru a fost să organizăm o expoziție în jurul conceptului de rezidențe artistice și despre noul stil nomad de viață al artiștilor care participă la aceste rezidențe. Ne-am concentrat pe noțiunea de artistul ca nomad și străin, pe tranziția permanentă între locuri, culturi și contexte, actul construcției de legături și pe lectura codurilor societății și locurilor necunoscute. Puțin cîte puțin cercetarea noastră s-a apropiat de întrebări precum: Ce ne dă nouă sentimentul apartenenței la un loc? Ce înseamnă ”acasă” și cum putem crea un loc sau locuri unde să ne simțim ca acasă? În loc să căutăm răspunsurile de unii singuri, am rugat artiștii să ne răspundă la următoarele întrebările: Ce înseamnă să fii nomad? Cine e nomadul modern astăzi? Ce înseamnă pentru tine să fii pe drumuri? Ce înseamnă ”acasă” pentru tine? Chiar dacă proiectele artiștilor împărtășesc în comun aceeași perspectivă documentară, răspunsurile lor la fel ca și punctul lor de pornire variază în multe feluri. Chiara Dazi și Hajnalka Tulisz investighează locurile noi prin intermediul locuitorilor lor și a relației acestora cu persoanele iubite. Și dacă Dazi intră în casele și în viața cotidiană a oamenilor, Tulisz alege cimitirul ca loc pentru observații. Tatiana Fiodorova și Alana Mejia Gonzáles au ales un domeniu intim ca punct de pornire: Fiodorova re-actualizează o memorie a copilăriei în timp ce Gonzáles face poze ale patului său temporar ori de cîte ori doarme într-un loc nou. Ákos Bánki și Nándor Keszeg au explorat spațiul virtual al comunicării, creat de distanța dintre locațiile celor doi artiști. Loc(uri) ca acasă este o dublă expoziție în baza colaborării dintre Asociația Tinerilor Artiști Oberliht și Igor Metropol. A doua ediție a expoziției va avea loc la Budapesta în decembrie 2015. While these works were not part of their residency program, the artists consider them as some kind of “secondary products” which show their impressions, reflections, comments on the new context and with which they tried to build connections to the unknown environment and culture. Some of the works compose a collection of observations, personal experiences and constructed theories, which can be seen as the personal diary of the artist. These collections could turn into a documentation of encounters with a foreign country, undiscovered places, and different localities as well as with people with diverse cultural and social background and with their personal stories and memories. On the other hand with the time these methods could become repetitive actions, which serve as tools for the artist to discover the unknown environment and society. Taking the concept of “the artist as nomad” as a starting point our aim was to organize an exhibition around the concept of the artist residencies itself and about the new nomad lifestyle of artists which comes as a result of these programs. We were focusing on notions such as artist as a nomad and stranger, the permanent transition between places, cultures and contexts, the act of building connection and reading the codes of unknown places and society. Little by little the focus of our research moved closer to questions such as: What give us the sense of belonging somewhere? What means home and what can create for us a place or places where we feel at home? Instead of trying to find possible answers only by ourselves, we asked the artists to answer to the following questions: What does it mean to be a nomad? Who is the modern nomad today? What does it mean for you to be on the way? What means home for you? Even though the projects of the artists share in common a documentary approach, their answers as well as their starting point and interest vary in many ways. Chiara Dazi and Hajnalka Tulisz approach new places through their inhabitants and their personal relation to their loved ones. While Dazi enters to the home and everyday’s life of the people, Tulisz chooses the cemetery as a place of her observations. Tatiana Fiodorova and Alana Mejia Gonzáles choose an intimate relation as a starting point: Fiodorova re-enacts a childhood memory while Gonzáles takes a picture of her temporary bed whenever she sleeps in a new place. Ákos Bánki and Nándor Keszeg explored the virtual social space of communication, which is created by the distance between the locations of the two artists. The Place(s) like home is a double exhibition based on collaboration between Young Artists Association Oberliht and Igor Metropol.
