An idea I had, is some kind of points/credits system. Adding a track to the playlist costs a certain number of points, removing a track may cost a few more. Other actions would also have appropriate costs.
Each registered user is given a certain number of points daily, and can carry over some unused points. In certain situations, there might even be a link between credits and real cash (e.g. Cyber Cafe, Jukebox, etc.) The system should obviously be quite configurable so it can be used in a variety of environments. For a very public system, users should only get a couple of tracks worth of credits a day, and maybe removal of tracks should be made more expensive? Just an idea.
