Hi, I have created a simple checker to notify on some specific ports. The way I built it is that I include the word "alert" on the description. The checker parses that and alerts if that port goes down.
This is working fine for the most part...except on one port. On my switch, C8 is a fiber 10gig port and it is up as shown here: Status and Counters - Port Counters for port C8 Name : random span port MAC Address : eaaaa3-cd9bb8 Link Status : Up Port Enabled : Yes [cid:[email protected]] However, the checker lists it as down: [cid:[email protected]] The test conditions are pretty simple: [cid:[email protected]] The only difference between the ports that work and C8 are; it is 10gig fiber and it is a span port...do either of these issues explain why this port is listed as down (only by the checker)???
