Users of this ATM do so at their own (considerable) risk. The ONW committee has drafted a notice which we would like to display on the wall next to the ATM. We submitted this to Standard Bank, who were most unhappy, because they said it may be bad for their image! And they asked where exactly we planned to put it. ONW feels that the safety of ATM users and the security of their money is more important than the 'image' of Standard Bank. Perhaps regular clients of Standard Bank and users of this ATM might like to take this up with the bank themselves? You are the ones who are at risk. This is the message we were proposing to put up:
