This morning I was awoken at just before 5.00 a.m. by four loud and very drunk people outside my place (just off cnr Bishop/Robins). On getting up to see what was happening I saw no less than FOUR people urinating in the street. One was directly opposite, peeing like a horse into a small garden at the base of a wild olive tree; the other three (two males and one female) were outside the house next door to me. The female of the three was squatting with her skirt right above her bum, peeing for all she was worth and able (....very, very drunk). I did phone the Patrol car and hoped that I would see them doing a couple of circuits in the vicinity of Robins Road. Unfortunately I didn't see anyone arrived tho I was told they would come...... Thank God the festival happens once a year. The urinating episode was apart from very rowdy people fetching sundry cars from Robins Rd very late..........and inevitably, lots of broken glass and bottles strewn around (discarded, I guess, as they got into their cars).
Given (a) that the Council gave the festival organisers a sum of R300 000 to host it - and (b) that we residents pay a price for having this festival in our suburb, I am keen to know how the OCA benefits from the festival. Can anyone tell me whether THE O.C.A. RECEIVES ANY PART OF R300 000 ? which might be used (in part at least) towards the cost of more 2-way radios......a repeater....... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Observatory Neighbourhood watch" group.
