Hello Helen I have thought about missing animals, and seem to remember general indignation when someone tried to exclude missing pets. Sometimes, of course, they have gone a.w.o.l. but sometimes they have been stolen - so a crime may be in fact be involved! I think a precedent was set when a well-known local dog, Lucy (then still a puppy), went missing and a message was posted. So rather than risk the indignation of pet owners, I feel we should allow 'missing pet' notices. I am not sure how far down the evolutionary scale to go, though. Dogs and cats are clearly OK. Birds? Snakes? Rats? Tortoises? .... Rob P.S. Please let's not turn this into a general online discussion on this forum. If you feel strongly, post your messages to me!!
