Hi Brian
This is great news. As a neighbour I can vouch for James as an active
and very community-conscious person who would make excellent use of a
radio. This means that middle Scott and upper Scott now have radios,
and my neighbour in Cook St also has a radio, which means a greatly
improved level of security in our corner of Obs. I also hear that four
people in Oxford Rd have clubbed together to buy a radio, and that
Robins Rd finally has a radio. This means that our radio network is
growing. Hopefully, now that it is fully functional, more of the
businessess in Obs (not only in Lower Main Rd) will join the network
or sponsor radios.
For those who may not have heard, THREE ONW radios have now been
deployed with Woodstock Police, one in the control room at the
station, one in the Sector vehicle (the 'Complaints vehicle) and one
with our Sector manager, Insp Nel. We have asked Woodstock Pollce to
sign on and off at the beginning and end of each shift, and it might
help if ONW radio users also signed on and off (using channel 1 of
course, nor channel 3). (Trevor, if I have got anything wrong, please
correct!)
Rob
