18 Residents attended the meeting/discussion. Residents feel that we need a committee to control and regulate NOISE.
The LAW is in place. "No person shall permit noise from a private residence or business to be audible in a public place..." (City of Cape Town - By-law relating to streets, public places and the prevention of nuisances. Approved by Council: 24/05/2007 The major issue is LAW ENFORCEMENT! We (myself an Ben Kotzé) are investigating the matter. We will liase with ONW, OCA, SAP, Councillor Cedric Thomas & COUNCIL - City Health. But most importantly, YOU - The resident. PS.
